News from Wellcem in the Far East
The global pandemic has surely taken its toll on business. Trying to do operations remotely have become the new trend, including for Wellcem and its Resin Technology.
From the Far East, Wellcem was called out to do a job for a major operator in early June. It was the first time Wellcem was ever going to operate in the small and exotic country of Brunei.
The well in question was suffering from Sustained Casing Pressure in B-Annulus. After extensive engineering and planning, the operation was carried out and executed according to job programme.
When time for execution approached, the pandemic had already caused many countries to close their borders for all foreign travelers. At first, it seemed impossible to do the job without personnel from Norway - where Wellcem has its main office. But thanks to countless video conference calls and amazing cooperation between the client, local partners and highly dedicated Wellcem personnel, the operation was executed successfully. It was a success on the very first attempt in Brunei!
Going forward in Brunei
We at Wellcem are currently working on other wells in Brunei, some of them very challenging. The first job gained us valuable experience on how to plan and execute a job in this beautiful country.
We thank our team for their great efforts in making this job a success. We also thank our client to have trusted us for their well integrity problems and we are looking forward to a long-lasting cooperation.
Terimah Kasih!
